A few weeks ago I was invited to attend Trumpeting Media’s 2nd annual Relaxation and Rejuvenation event held at Dermalogica Academy on West 22nd Street. It was a great night of chatting with friends, sipping tasty beverages, and pampering. The type of night everyone needs once in a while because let’s be honest, when was the last time you did something nice for yourself?
While at the event I received a 20 minute MicroZone treatment. I was curious to see what the treatment space would be like as it is a school, and I was definitely impressed with it! Lights are kept low, relaxing music is played, and the chairs are sooooo comfortable. Yes, you’re in a room with others receiving treatments, but it’s so chill and spacious – and the best part is the cost. Starting at $5 for waxing and maxing out at $50 for an hour long treatment, it’s the best kept beauty secret in town. Seriously, $50 for an hour long skincare treatment? That’s an affordable indulgence.
While there we were also able to preview Dermalogica’s recently launched Clear Start line, perfect for tweens’ and teens’ young and developing skin. The line consists of eight products formulated with natural botanicals that are gentle enough for daily use yet guaranteed to be effective.
The evening’s drinks were provided by 2BDrinks. They treated everyone to some custom cocktails created with their soon to be released sparkling beverages. The root beer is great (and mixes nicely with a salted caramel vodka…just sayin’). 2BDrinks is the first drink to be naturally sweetened by Pure Fruit. It has only 10 calories per serving and has been approved for sales in NYC Public Schools. We’re trying to reduce our sugary beverage intake around here so I was excited to try these! I like the lemonade and the boy is definitely a fan of the grape flavor. He drinks mostly water and milk so this is a treat for him. He feels like he’s having a big person drink and I’m not freaking out about the sugar in it.
Disclosure: I was not compensated for this post. I attended the event and received a gift bag and samples, but all opinions are my own.
